I am going to get the Duck DLC and see if it makes a difference. Few ducks are spawning because the map is pink. I use to get 25+ ducks a trip (two hour game play).
I think the reason is because I have no decoys. I have been hunting ducks for 10 days at High Lake and South Lake. The last hour of game play, I noticed many flocks flying over me but not landing. Got 23 Ducks the first time (9 in one flock) and 24 Ducks on my second try (plus 2 bear and a moose). oh and i dont even really use the set up on the east side much, put it there for changes in wind direction, so most of my hunting is from the west side, ducks have a poor sense of smell but sometimes they do pick up on it, so maybe you wll want to do as i did, set up on both sides.Īnd by the way, ducks are not affected by hunting pressure so you can burn a pink hole in your screen and they wont ever notice. i have set up 40 decoys crossing the entire inlet and dont even have to call them in, they come in in waves.

I would consider this an overlook on EW's part.
